Class Activity

For me, the most effective activity in the class is the 10 minute paragraph. I never had this activity before. At the beginning I thought it was too easy for us to write a paragraph in ten minutes but when I did it the first time, it was not easy at all. I could think about what I wanted to write for the topic in Chinese instead of English. While I translated it to English, I ran out of time. I have learned writing strategies, such as brainstorming and outlining. The ten minute paragraph gives me a chance to practice writing skills and also helps me have ideas about English writing. Now my ability has improved a lot due to this simple exercise – ten minutes paragraph.
